Uganda: Sekyaaya Picks up Bronze

Kampala — CHARLES Sekyaaya won Uganda's first medal, a bronze in the 56kg weightlifting category at the Commonwealth Youth Games, whose action started Monday in Pune, India.

The upcoming weightlifter snatched 112 kg, 9kg over his declared weight of 102kg, then clean and jerked 120kg to make a total of 215kg, finishing third over all in the category to grant Uganda an appearance on the medal table.
