The spate of car snatching on Kubwa road has become a source of worry to motorists plying the route as they called on the police to intervene before the route becomes a no-go-area.
Mr. Terrence Adagba, a motorist and resident of Kubwa who disclosed the recent development to LEADERSHIP, expressed concern over the ugly trend despite the mobilisation of the police anti-crime squad with vehicles and communication gadgets.
According to Adagba, in the past two months, six vehicles have been snatched from innocent drivers by men of the underworld and none have been reported to be recovered by the police, a situation he described as unfortunate.
He further explained that most of the car thefts were carried out in broad day light without any interception from the security operatives.
"Most people are now scared of driving their expensive cars on that route, but of what use is a car if it cannot be driven for fear of being harassed by hoodlums in a city where security is preached like gospel," he querried.
Adagba therefore, called on the FCT police commissioner, Mr John Haruna to arrest the situaton fast before December since it is the time such occurrences are rampant.
