President Bush will welcome President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of the Republic of Liberia to the White House on October 22, 2008.
The visit will provide an opportunity for the two leaders to discuss ongoing areas of U.S.-Liberian cooperation including efforts to reform Liberia's security sector, combat malaria, and improve the quality of education.
This meeting is also an opportunity for the President to reinforce the U.S. long-term commitment to assist Liberia in its reconstruction and stabilization efforts.
