Nigeria: Mutiny - Soldiers Petition Senate

The 28 Nigerian soldiers who are currently facing trial for mutiny have petitioned the Senate asking it to intervene to prevent the exposure of a can of worms it said could emanate from their present trial.

The soldiers in the petition presented on their behalf by Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe (PDP, Abia South) alleged bias against them on the part of the army high command and notably, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Abuja Danbazzau, who they alleged has a deep interest in the case.
