Angola: Chinese Parliament Sends Message to Speaker

Luanda — A message from the Chinese Parliament was addressed on Thursday to the speaker of the Angolan National Assembly Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, during an audience he granted to the Asian country's ambassador.

At the end of the meeting, the Chinese diplomat, Zhang Bolun, said that in the message the Standing Committee of the National People Assembly of China congratulates the appointment of Fernando da Piedade as the new speaker of the Angolan Parliament and expresses the wish of strengthening the bilateral cooperation.

According to the message, the Chinese Parliament expresses the wish of intensifying the exchange of parliamentary delegations, for a "friendlier cooperation".

Zhang Bolun said that in the field of national reconstruction, the Angolan Parliament plays a key role, as it is the organ tasked with approving the State General Budget - the main tool of prevision of revenues and holding of expenses of the country.
