Uganda: Time Up for Takondwa

He came into the house with the swagger reserved for bonafide rap superstars, but will that swagger turn into a limp came this Sunday, or will it be the irritatingly two faced Ghanaian Mimi who will have to say goodbye to Biggie?

Before I proceed, I would like to quickly recognise the possibility of Morris reaching far in the game- and I mean top three remaining on the money, despite his over exaggerated usage of the queen's language, case in point is the mini speech he went into last Sunday to justify his nomination of Ricco, which went something like... "I always thought heroes where a thing of the past and this mysticism confounded me..." Now, a quick reason for replacing TK with Ricco would have been enough my brother!

Apart from that drivel, the boy is slowly marching to the prize (despite what Sheila thinks). And the litmus test for me was his failure to be nominated last Monday despite his tampering with the nominations. He didn't suffer the same fate as TK.

Besides, he is good at tasks (especially the physical kind), he rarely confronts others like Thami does, he doesn't gossip and above all he reads the Bible - who would have ever thought that among the luggage that Morris carried to the house was a Bible? Honestly ladies isn't that marriage material right there?

Now to the lambs waiting to be slaughtered come this Sunday. TK the so-called gangsta lost his "street-cred" the moment he cried on TV for Sheila. Not only did he cry a river for the Kenyan, he went ahead and sulked like a two-year-old whose favourite toy had been taken away from him! Moreover the so called Kenyan he badly missed, was belittling him in front of Africa "I didn't have the same feelings that TK had for me," said Sheila. The worst thing for a man is to be belittled by a woman he thought shared the same feelings he had for her. It kills the "man" in you.

TK's isolation policy in the house hasn't done him any favours to both the viewing public, and the housemates. Some call it aloofness or inner confidence, but whatever way you describe TK, that kind of behaviour cannot win you $100,000.

As for the Ghanaian Mimi, it is rare to irritate viewers that much, and somehow manage to stay on our TV screens, but Mimi has done exactly that. She bitches, backbites, talks in Portuguese to Ricco, and recently peed in the bathroom because "I was dyiing o," she said in her Ghanaian accent.

But Mimi has a guiding angel by her side, because if she was up against for example Hazel, and Thami, she would be sent to Accra faster than any airline can take her, but she is up against TK, and I believe she will escape the guillotine. As for Thami, those South Africans will save him, though if he doesn't change his arrogant behaviour, he could leave the house.

So is it the cry baby cum wannabe rapper TK or the annoying Mimi. I would love the Ghanaian out, but the scales are tilting more to the Zambian side, although, and to use one of Morris's catchy mini speeches; TK's leaving is "so clear even Stevie Wonder can see that." Wow!
