Huambo — The introduction of the vernacular languages into the education system will impart them a techno-scientific and pedagogic status.
This was said Friday in Huambo, central Angola, by historian, Venceslau Kassesse, on the fringes of the works of the III meeting on vernacular languages closing today.
Speaking to Angop, Venceslau Kassesse, who is also Huambo's regional director, said that only this way could the vernacular languages win due importance within the context of the country's development.
He also said that the control of vernacular languages will facilitate the students' process of education, enabling them to know the country's social and linguistic reality.
For three days, national and foreign specialists are, with Education Ministry support, assessing and analysing the mechanisms required for the introduction of vernacular languages into the education system and in the country's institutional affairs.
