Angola: Opposition Party Praises National Reconciliation Efforts

Luanda — The leader of the parliamentary group of the main opposition Unita party, Alda Sachiambo, Friday here congratulated all who for 12 years of existence of National Reconciliation and Unity Government (GURN), "gave their best for the achievement of peace and national reconciliation.

Speaking at the end of voting session that put an end to the existence of GURN, the leader of the country's main opposition party also praised the elected MPs and all the voters for the civic attitude shown in the polling stations, on September 05.

"After the extinction of GURN, the legal-constitutional reach of the peace agreements prevails, and not all compromises that these accords represent, during the existence of GURN, have been complied with", she said.
