17 October 2008

Tunis — As he received Mr Abdelwaheb El Behi, the president of the arbitration centre of Tunis (CCAT) on Friday, President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali recommended to further promote the culture of arbitration and dispute resolution within Tunisian enterprises so as to anchor Tunisia's place in the field of arbitration on the regional and international scene.

President Ben Ali reaffirmed his support for the work carried out by the centre, considering its importance in guaranteeing the right conditions for the strengthening of economic growth, and attracting investments in light of the changes on the international scene.

The Head of State also focused on the sixth Congress of the International Federation of Commercial Arbitration Institutions (IFCAI), which is due to be held in Tunis next May under the patronage of the President of the Republic.
