Luanda — The administrator of the Angola Millennium Bank, António Martins da Cruz, arrived Monday in Luanda, to participate at the institution's meeting, to happen this week in the country's capital.
The official told ANGOP at Luanda's "4 de Fevereiro" International Airport that Angola today is in high demand by the Portuguese industrial companies and banks, due to its extraordinary economic growth recorded over the last years.
To António Martins da Cruz, former Portuguese Foreign Affairs minister, Angola has now entered a dynamic strategic circle in terms of political, economical and social spheres", with the holding of legislative elections on September 05.
He also recognised the ongoing effort being exerted by the Angolan Government centred on the economic and social infrastructures.
On the international financial crisis to the Portuguese Millennium Bank, the administrator explained that the banks in his country are not being affected by the global crisis because the Portuguese Government has taken the necessary measures to reinforce the financial system and promote the return of confidence.
António Martins da Cruz conducted a positive assessment of the economic activity carried out by the Angola Millennium Bank.
