Simba coach Krasmir Bezinski has the full backing of his employers, an official of the club has said.
Kassim Dewji, who is the chairman of the players' registration committee, dismissed the reports that the Bulgarian could be sacked in the wake of embarrassing defeats in the league.
Simba have lost four out of nine games so far and the fans are worried of the team's form ahead of this weekend's tie with their archrivals Yanga.
"Benziski is still our coach and as far as I know no Simba official has announced his sacking," said Dewji. There have been reports suggesting that the Bulgarian has been ordered to step down and his place be taken by caretaker coaches Syllersaid Mziray and Abdallah Kibaden.
"Bezinski is doing his job in the right way and players are responding well to his instructions. However, we have not established exactly the reasons behind the frequent loses in the league and we are investigating the matter," added Dewji. He said a joint meeting of Simba leadership and the players has been arranged to discuss their poor form.
The troubled team has pitched camp at Kigamboni, a southern suburb of Dar es Salaam, where they are preparing for the match against Yanga on Sunday.
Meanwhile, sources close to the club's leadership say striker Musa Hassan and midfielder Henry Joseph could return from suspension to face Yanga.
The duo, who were suspended in the wake of the team's 2-0 loss to debutants Azam FC last week, will have their punishment quashed by the desperate leadership, the source said.
The club's chairman and secretary general Hassan Dalali and Mwina Kaduguda respectively could not be reached to clarify on the matter. Simba are fourth in the league standings on 13 points from nine games. ends
