Tunis — Sama Dubai's "Mediterranean Gateway" Project, also dubbed "The city of the Century", opened a sales and marketing office in Tunis on Tuesday.

The office which will give potential buyers the opportunity to assess the investment possibilities offered in the field of tourism, business and services, will remain open 20 hours a day.

The CEO of Sama Dubai, Mr Farhan Faraidooni said in a press point that the sales office "will initially showcase this ambitious project, before the launch of the first sales around mid -2009".

Planned out in 14 stages, the 25 billion dollar project will attract international companies, luxury hotels, major commercial brands, as well as whole gamut of residential and recreational buildings.

Totally integrated to the capital, the project will also comprise marinas, golf courses, and commercial centres.

The project is expected to generate some 350,000 jobs as well as 100,000 visitors daily.
