21 October 2008

Luanda — Angola's Journalists Training Centre (CEFOJOR) will hold from October 23 to 25, in the Guinean capital, Bissau city, an upgrading course designed for journalists of this western African country, for a greater professional performance in that country's elections to be held next November.

According to a press release that ANGOP had access to, the course aims at promoting the sharing of experience and information on electoral coverage between Angolan and Guinean journalists.

The document also states that the training will be lectured by Angolan journalists, Ismael Mateus, Ramiro Matos and Albino Carlos.

At the occasion, subjects relating to the strategy for electoral coverage and role of the press in the democratic process, among others, will be covered during this upgrading course.
