Angola: Diplomats Happy With State of Relations

Abidjan — The Angolan ambassador and the honorary consul of Cape Verde to Cote d'Ivoire, Gilberto Buta Lutucuta and Salam El Cheikh, respectively, Tuesday in Abidjan, expressed satisfaction at the state of relations between the two countries.

During a courtesy visit paid by the Cape Verdean ambassador to the Angolan diplomatic mission in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, the diplomats expressed their desire to establish a useful cooperation "focussed on principles that always led to the historic ties uniting the two African states."

On the occasion, the diplomats agreed to create an efficient mechanism to maintain and strengthen the solidarity and cooperation at the height of the image of the excellent relations existing between Angola and Cape Verde.

Angola and Brazil are the only states of the Portuguese Speaking Community (CPLP) with accredited and resident ambassadors in Cote d'Ivoire.
