Angola: Head of State Watches Under 17 Squad's Training

Luanda — The Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, watched on Wednesday, in Luanda, a training match between the national under 17 squad and Academia FC (former Fesa).

The game was part of the preparation of the "Palanquinhas" (the name of the under 17 football team) for the match against Zimbabwe, in the last eliminatory round qualifier for the African Nations Cup (CAN2009), that will happen in Algeria.

At the meeting, disputed in Coqueiros stadium, Academia FC defeated "palanquinhas" by 1-0, with a goal scored by Paíto in the second half.

In the past eliminatory round, Palaquinhas left behind Botswana, with a double victory (2-0 in Luanda and 2-1 in Gaborone).
