Angola: Minister Muandumba Urges Control of CAN2010 Infrastructures

23 October 2008

Luanda — Youth and Sports minister, Gonçalves Muandumba, said this Wednesday, in Luanda, that sports infrastructures in construction for the African Nations Cup "CAN2010", in Angola, will need to have a supervised use.

During a meeting with the administration boards of national federations, the Sports minister added that mechanisms of control are to be created for the venues to be rented.

For the African football championship that the country will host in January 2010, four stadiums are under construction in the provinces of Luanda, Benguela, Cabinda and Huíla.

On the other hand, Mr Muandumba recommended the national teams to start preparing for the Olympic Games and Paralympics in 2012 in London, England.

They are the teams of basketball, handball, volleyball, swimming, athletics and adapted sports.
