Luanda — The prime minister of Angola, Paulo Kassoma, this Wednesday here received a message from his Italian counterpart, Silvio Berlusconi, highlighting the friendship ties between both countries.
The message was delivered during an audience that the Angolan premier granted to the Italian ambassador to Angola, Torquato Cardilli.
Speaking to the press at the end of the audience, the Italian diplomat informed that he was happy and honoured with the reciprocity, an evidence of the good relations between Angola and Italy.
On the other hand, Torquato Cardilli noted that Angola will be considered as an example during the Italian presidency in the G8, in 2009, due to the way it held the legislative elections, contrary to what happened in Kenya and in Zimbabwe.
He also praised the implementation of the programme of reconciliation and national reconstruction, as well as the consolidation of national peace and democracy process.
