Uganda: Kyeyago to Coordinate Cecafa Challenge Cup Committees

Kampala — UGANDA has stepped up preparations for the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup by naming a series of committees which will be coordinated by finance committee head Jowali Kyeyago.

A total of seven committees were named by the soccer governing body FUFA executive to oversee the preparations ahead of the regional event due to start on December 31.

The regional tournament, sponsored by GTV, is set to attract teams from Kenya, Zanzibar, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia and hosts Uganda.

FUFA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Charles Masembe will get half of his monthly pay (sh0.85m) after he was asked to pave way for investigations into abuse of office. FUFA technical director Edgar Watson will take charge of the office.
