Angola: Brazilian Singer Performs Friday in Luanda

Luanda — Brazilian songstress Leny Andrade, one of the most renowned representatives of the bossa nova music style, performs this Friday in Hotel Trópico, in Luanda, in a show dubbed "Noite de Amor do Sorriso e da Flor".

The artist will present rhythmic and harmonious tunes that characterise her music, played also in jazz.

Invited by jazz critic Jerónimo Belo, Leny Andrade will sing new songs and some of her greatest hits like "Tema Feliz", Balanço Zona Sul" and "Maria Cheia de Raça".

The show is also part of the 50th anniversary of the bossa nova music style.

Lenny Andrade won the best Latin American singer and album prize at the 2007 Grammy Award, besides other achievements.
