Uganda: Ssali Wants Fufa Bosses Sacked for Incompetence

Kampala — Kampala City Council (KCC) Technical Director Paul Ssali has welcomed Fufa's decision to suspend Charles Masembe but called on the federation take action on some other incompetent members.

Ssali, who is also a national delegate of women football hailed Fufa for the decision to investigate the dealings of the federation CEO Masembe, saying it was long overdue.

"Mulindwa has now started working. We advised him to get rid of Masembe long time ago but he was hesitant. But now that Masembe has been delt with, Mulindwa has answered many people's call," said Ssali.

But the former goalkeeper wants Mulindwa to take more action. "There are other members like Justus Mugisha (vice chairman youth) and Richard Barigye (vice chairman administration) who should be sacked too. They are not working for the good of the game," Ssali said.

"Mugisha has no plans for youth soccer. He has not done anything and has failed to utilise the structures Fufa has put in place," Ssali said. He also reckons that the technical and competitions have letdown soccer lovers.
