Nigeria: 'Vivante Will Redefine Journalism'

Lagos — Vivante Media, producers of Patito's Gang, Tuesday said that they were poised to redefine people-based journalism in Nigeria through their magazine Vivante's Viva and also celebrate Nigerians who have in one way or the other impacted on the nation's development through an Award.

Chairman of Vivante magazine, Prof Pat Utomi, who was represented by his wife and Executive Director of Vivante Media, Dr. Mrs. Ifeoma Utomi, said the award is a far cry from the conventional, as people who have distinguised themselves in their various fields will be honoured as against people in public offices.

Addressing the press in Lagos yesterday, Mrs Utomi said Viva Magazine is a general interest magazine and is out to celebrate people and corporate organisations by introducing several columns that will touch different lives both the youths, corporate bodies, the environment and others.

Executive Editor of Vivante magazine, Mr Vincent Nwanma, said Vivante will stand out to inspire, motivate the young ones and also remember people that have left their footprints on the sand of times.

The grand event which is billed for October 24, 2008 at the Expo Hall of Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos will also witness the introduction of Welcome magazine which people will be reading while on board, Nwanma said.
