UMASS and Murray Town Army School will open the JSS soccer competition, while Government Model would sort it out against Collegiate School in the SSS category.
Speaking to Concord Sports, Public Relation Officer of the MEYS, Unisa Deen Kargbo said the annual event is to tap talents and also provide the needed recreation for pupils.
"As part of an effort for successful schools competition, the Ministry organized a three day workshop on the impact of violence at schools sports," Kargbo said.
He appealed to teachers to be more vigilant in the selection of their teams, noting that the Ministry is strongly against the use of non school going pupils in their teams.
