A Cameroonian-Canadian lawyer in civil, family, immigration and business law, Olivier Chi Nouako, has encouraged Cameroonians with work experience to migrate and seek greener pastures in Canada.
This was the substance of a public conference he organised at the Yaounde Hilton Hotel, October 18.Chi said the purpose of the conference was to inform Cameroonians of the abundant academic and work opportunities existing in Canada. He said Canada is in search of professionally experienced immigrants (those coming in to stay and work).
He advised competent Cameroonians willing to go to establish relationships with Canadians, who Chi described as friendly. He sated that a Cameroonian is one of the representatives of a Canadian Province as a Member of Parliament. "While in Canada, be ready to do work on benevolence and after a maximum of three years, you must have mastered the system and you would easily be integrated as a full-fledged worker," he stated.
Apart from the political stability being enjoyed by Canada, he said the system is organised in such a way that workers and citizens benefit from enormous advantages including free health services.
Chi dished out general information pertaining to immigration into Canada and responded to numerous questions from the audience which was made up dominantly of youths and middle aged Cameroonians.
