Luanda — A group of Angolan observers left Luanda on Friday, en route to Lusaka, to monitor the presidential election in Zambia, scheduled for October 30.
The delegation is made up by three people, two from the National Electoral Commission (CNE) and one from the Luanda Provincial Commission.
In an interview to ANGOP, at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, Kipoi Wateba Chimbelé, head of the mission, informed that CNE was invited to join the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) observation mission.
This anticipated presidential election is taking place due to the death last August of former Zambian president Levy Mwanawasa.
