Eritrea: Nationals Living in Brisbane City Conduct Seminar On the Objective Situation in the Homeland

24 October 2008

Asmara — Eritrean nationals living in the Australian city of Brisbane conducted a seminar on October 18 regarding the prevailing situation in the Homeland and the Horn region.

In briefings he gave to the participants, the Eritrean Ambassador to Australia and New Zeeland, Dr. Andeab Gebremeskel, indicated that Eritrea is the only country in the Horn of Africa which is maintaining internal stability and security. He further explained that Eritrean citizens at home and abroad are enhancing all-round development endeavors and rebuffing all acts of external conspiracy through reinforcing national unity and harmony.

Noting that monopolist world powers have been weaving various conspiracies aimed at undermining Eritrea's development and economic progress, Dr. Andeab underscored that such acts of hostility have been foiled thanks to the firm unity of the Eritrean people and the correct stance of the Government.

The participants of the seminar reiterated their readiness to fulfill what is expected of them in rebuffing enemy conspiracy and stepping up the national development drive.

Meanwhile, members of the PFDJ branch in Brisbane city held a meeting on 19 October, during which the head of community and consular affairs at the Eritrean Embassy, Mr. Beshir Idris Nor, gave briefings regarding the strengthening of ranks and organizational capacity.
