Luanda — Angolan Foreign minister, Assunção dos Anjos, is attending Monday, in Harare, an extraordinary summit of the troika of the organ for political cooperation, defence and security of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC), that will discuss, among other topics, the Zimbabwean situation.
The head of the Angolan diplomacy represents at the event the head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos.
Besides the crisis in Zimbabwe, the meeting is also to discuss the situation prevailing in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and other aspects that worry the African heads of State.
Angola and Mozambique will take up the deputy chair of the SADC policy, defence and security organ, a body that deals with issues related to the defence of the sovereignty of the member states and responsible for guaranteeing peace and political stability in the region.
Before this summit, Assunção dos Anjos attended another meeting in Cotonou, Benin, on African assessment mechanism (Maep), which took place Saturday and Sunday.
