Luanda — The chairman of "Petro Atlético de Luanda" football team, Cardoso Pereira, Sunday here stated that his team is getting ready to adequately represent the country during the African soccer competitions.

Addressing Angop, after the team's 4-1 win over "Desportivo da Huíla", which decided an anticipated victory of "Girabola2008", the official noted that as national champions Petro have a higher responsibility.

"In addition to defend the national title in the coming season, we will have to represent the country in the African competitions", noted the chairman, who added that the team deserved the victory of "Girabola2008" due to their commitment.
