Luanda — Angola's deputy minister of Geology and Mining, Lourenço Mahamba Baptista, appointed recently by the Angolan head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, was introduced on Monday to the workers of the sector, in Luanda, during a ceremony attended by the minister, Makenda Ambroise.
Speaking to the press, Lourenço Mahamba Baptista pledged to work in collaboration with the current minister, in order to achieve the goals set by the Government centred on the improvement of the people's living standards and, in particular ,of development of the mining sector in the country.
Lourenço Baptista also integrates the list of 52 vice-ministers, including nine women, also appointed by the president.
