Angola: Caldo Do Poeira Honours Traditional Dance Group

Dundo — Txanga traditional dance group of Canzar district in Cambulo eastern Lunda Norte province, was honoured this Sunday at the 76th edition of "Caldo do Poeira" by Angola National Radio.

Founded in 1940 by chief Cassombo, Txanga folkloric group (transference of women power for men), was winner of 1981 edition, Carnaval da vitória, organized in Luanda.

the group was awarded a vehicle (Toyota Hiace) two motorbikes, besides a diploma for merit and an undisclosed amount of money.

The party was entertained by singers Zé Cax, Augusto Chakayá, Ti-Cali, Mateus Muteba, Pedro Mubilay e Belito Ontoner, backed by Moviment Band, Angola National Radio.

Lunda Norte governor, Ernesto Muangala was at Caldo do Poeira, which had already honoured in the province, June of 2008, Sagrada Esperança group, as well as singer Ti-Caly, Santos Católica and Txissola.
