Kampala — Body Builder of the Year Ivan 'Cobra' Byekwaso has won the Mr. Uganda title.

Byekwaso once again had to contend with the challenge of John Bosco Ssebabi and Omar Bulega at Sabrina's pub on Sunday.

The contest was close and the judges asked the competitors to repeat their poses several times before they came out with a verdict.

This is middleweight Byekwaso's second title this year after winning the Mr. Kampala championship in June.

"I can't believe it. I lost weight due to several problems including the death of my mum recently. But after assessing the performance of the contenders I gave it my best shot," Byekwaso said.

The other winners were John Sseruga (bantamweight), Mubarak Kizito (fly), Omar Bulega (light), Ismail Mukalazi (ligh-heavy), Bossa Kitoke (welter) and Sharif Kyambadde (heavy).

Body Essence gym, Tel Talk, Antonio's Grill and Primetex Uganda Ltd sponsored the one-day event.
