Lagos — THE Minister of Information and Communications, Mr John Odey, has approved the promotion of two senior officers in the News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN ).
They are Mr. Patrick Nwaefido from Deputy Director to Director of Administration and Mrs. Adijat Lawal from Assistant Director to Deputy Director of Finance and Accounts.
Mr. Nwaefido was born on Oct. 11, 1949 and was appointed Deputy Director on Jan. 1, 2005.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in 1977 and has been working in NAN since 1981.
Mr. Nwaefido has attended many management training courses and is most suitable for the position of Director of Administration.
Mrs. Lawal became an Assistant Director on Jan. 1, 2005.
She is 45 years old and holds a Higher National Diploma HND in Business Administration.
Mrs. Lawal, who joined the services of the Agency on Aug. 18, 1983, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and also Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered)and the Chartered Institute of Administrators of Nigeria .
