Kampala — MOSES Magogo has said he is not interested in becoming chief executive officer of the soccer governing body FUFA.
"I am flattered to be lined up amongst such names .... to be linked to such an office. However, I would like to categorically state that I am not interested in the position," Magogo said.
Magogo, who who is an Africa Development Bank employee, is also the FUFA competitions committee secretary.
FUFA sources last week listed Magogo together with sports columnist Aldrine Nsubuga, former national coach Mike Mutebi, Pallisa delegate Mike Okiror and Masaka SSS head teacher William Byuma as potential candidates to replace interdicted Charles Masembe.
Magogo said it was obvious he could not leave his comfortable job for the FUFA full-time job.
"I am privileged to know both my gross remuneration at ADB and that of the FUFA CEO but unfortunately the two are in very different worlds," he said.
Magogo's reaction was similar to Nsubuga's. The Anfield Communications chief said the FUFA job was too low for him.
FUFA technical director Edgar Watson is currently acting in the CEO's position.
