Jos — The American embassy in Nigeria announced yesterday that as from today, all applications for a U.S visa should be made through the Indian firm Visa Form Services (VFS) Global. The American move came hot on the heels of the controversial example earlier set by the British High Commission in Nigeria, which first engaged the same Indian firm to receive visa applications.
The U.S. Embassy said its offices in Abuja and Lagos will "partner with VFS Global in a program that will provide more convenient, secure, and user-friendly services to those applying for U.S. visas in Abuja and Lagos."
