Malanje — The traditional dance group dubbed "Cajingas of Ritondo ward", northern Malanje province, was last weekend honoured by the provincial culture department.

The homage was paid during the "Variante 2008" musical contest in which three contestants qualified for the national event scheduled for next November 01 in Malanje city, provincial capital.

At the occasion, Malanje's acting provincial governor, Gaspar Neto, considered important the work being carried out by young musicians in favour of the expansion of traditional dance in the province.
