Nigeria: No Plans to Shut Down Garki Model Market - Amml

The Abuja Markets Management Limited, Managers of Garki Model Market has refuted plans to shut down the market by the Abuja Environmental Protection Board.

Media reports had earlier revealed that the Garki Model Market traders have uncovered plans by Abuja Markets Management Limited (AMML) and Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB) to shut down the market. The company, in a statement signed by its spokesman, Innocent Amaechina, said it has no plan either now or in the near future to close down Garki Market or other markets under its management.
