Hundreds of former employees of the defunct East African Community (EAC) yesterday disrupted traffic and clashed with riot police in Dar es Salaam as they protest the non-payment of their retirement benefits.
The retirees blocked the busy intersection of Ali Hassan Mwinyi and United Nations roads during a demonstration called to pressure the Government to pay their claims totalling billions of shillings.
