Luanda — Eighty books of Angolan writers where exhibited from 20 to 26 October at the 53rd edition of the Belgrade International Book.
According to a press release from the Angolan Embassy in Serbia, Angola displayed books in various genres, edited this year by the Angolan Writers Union (UEA).
Besides the literary works, Angola made an exhibition for the public in a combined stand with Brazil, posters portraying cultural images, tourism attractions sites and showed some music videos.
A pamphlet written "Angola Today" with information on the country's political, socio-economic and cultural reality was also available.
For six days, the event that is considered one of biggest cultural manifestations in the region, received 150, 000 visitors.
Eight hundred Serbian publishing companies, as well as 25 foreign countries marked their presence at the book fair.
