Angola: Technical Institutes Start Operating in 2009

Luanda — Technical-professional education will get as from next 01 February 21 new technical schools countrywide. Amongst the institutes 11 belong to administration and management, one agrarian and nine polytechnics.

This was disclosed Tuesday in Luanda by the Education minister, Burity da Silva, at the opening ceremony of upgrading workshop gathering the new technical schools boards.

According to him, the new institutes are part of the work developed by the Government in favour of the improvement of teaching quality, in particular of technical-professional.

To Burity da Silva, the major challenge of the technical-professional education is the improvement of the teaching and training quality, of school organisation and materialisation of experimental education, coupled with practice in laboratories and workshops.
