Angola: Minister at World Urban Forum

Luanda — A delegation of the Ministry of Housing and Urbanisation, led by its incumbent minister, Sita José, this Wednesday left the country for Nanjing city, China, to attend the fourth session of the World Urban Forum.

According to a source of the delegation, the meeting to happen from November 3-06 will analyse issues relating to the harmonious urbanisation covering social, economic matters, environmental development, urban ad rural environment integration and new concepts.

The Forum, organised by the United Nations Human Settlements Agency (UN-Habitat), shall include plenary meetings, workshops, debates and upgrading courses.

The last gathering was held in Vancouver (Canada) in 2006.

The Angolan team is also made up of provincial directors of the National Institute of Territory Arrangement and Urban Development.
