Huambo — The Angolan musician and composer, João Afonso, of Huambo province, announced Wednesday the launching of his first solo CD, named "Saber esperar é uma prudência", planned for next December.
The work, comprising 14 songs, presently is, according to the author, in its best moment, aimed to identify voices and sound, musical mixing and repair are been executed at a Studio situated in Portugal.
João Afonso revealed that in his debut CD, sung in Portuguese and Umbundo, there are various musical models, such as Kizomba, kilapanga, semba, zouk, tchissulo, rumba, sungura and soul music.
The songs, affirmed the musician and composer, relate themes concerned with the restoration of the moral and civic values, past lives, women emancipation and equal opportunities.
Born in 1962, in the Caala district, 23 kilometres off Huambo city, João Afonso pursued the music career in the late "70s, because of his frequent participation in Festivals
