Luanda — This year edition of Miss Luanda 2009 contest will take place on Friday in Luanda Island, with the participation of 20 candidates, who will fight for the title that will give access to Miss Angola 2009 competition.

Scheduled to start at 8pm, the contest will take place under the motto "Luanda Bay" and will be entertained by local musicians Matias Damásio, Kalibrados, Ary, and Yaka and Muntweno dance bands.

Apart from contestants chosen in the nine districts of the province, the event will also count on the participation of youth qualified through a casting held by Miss Luanda Committee.

Miss Luanda 2009 trophy is in possession of Bridgeth dos Santos.
