The Torra Bay Campsite, a coastal camping site of Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR), will be open to the public from December 1, NWR announced in a statement last week.
NWR said the camp will remain open for the festive season until the morning of January 31 next year.
According to the company, tariffs for campsites remain unchanged - the basic premium per site is N$100 and each campsite may have a maximum of eight occupants at a rate of N$50 per person per day.
NWR said Namibian citizens and permanent residents qualify for a 25 per cent discount, while pensioners qualify for a 35 per cent discount.
There is a 50 per cent discount for children between the ages of seven and 12 while children aged six and younger can stay for free.
Torra Bay has only 60 campsites which are rented on a first-come-first-served basis and therefore, payments need to be made in full 60 days before arrival.
Water at Torra Bay is supplied at N$0,50 per litre and showers cost N$2 per person.
Fishing permits must be obtained from the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources before entering the park.
