Mogadishu — The security forces of Puntland semiautonomous have shot and wounded a Somali cleric in the town of Bosaso later on Wednesday after consecutive blasts rocked correspondingly the neighboring Somaliland republic, according to sources.
The residents of Bosaso told Shabelle that fuming soldiers from Puntlnd security agency have came into the house of the cleric whose name Sheikh Mohamud Ismail as well they hit two bullets on his right army then they took him to the central prison in the town after suspected him of connection consecutive deadly blasts in the city.
The residents of Bosaso have expressed additional concern regarding the security forces operations on cracking down of the assailants.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the five bomb attacks in the Puntland and Somaliland regions on Wednesday.
Reports also say low flying planes are flying over the space of the town seeing that the residents are expressing concern over those aircrafts.
No curfew was imposed on the town but armed vigilant troops have been deployed on the streets.
Two other simultaneous suicide car bombs struck two separate buildings housing anti-terrorism centres run by the Puntland Intelligence Service (PIS) in the port city of Bosasso.
The president of Puntland, Mohamoud Musa Hirsi Adde, said six members of the PIS were killed in the twin blasts.
"Six members of the Puntland Intelligence Service were killed by the attack in Bosasso," the president, who was in the economic capital of the semi-autonomous region, told reporters.
The overall death for the coordinated attacks stood at 30, including the five bombers.
