Uganda: Mulindwa to Focus on Youth Development

Kampala — In a bid to uplift the standard of soccer, Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa) President Lawrence Mulindwa has promised to focus more on the youth.

Addressing the Fufa weekly press conference at Mengo yesterday, Mulindwa said continuity in the national team, can be guaranteed by shaping up junior players.

There are many promising players in junior leagues like the Friends of Football (FOF) and Kampala Kids League (KKL) and Coca-Cola championship but structures to nurture and monitor have not been in place.

Fufa also named a team for the Cecafa Challenge Cup.

Caesar Okhuti, Yuda Mugalu, Emma Okwi, Brian Umony and Muwanga, are the strikers.
