Lagos — General overseer of The Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, has urged Nigerian leaders to turn to God for His promises to the nation to be fulfilled.
He stated this last Sunday at the end of the ministry's 'Hope for the needy' crusade in Lagos.
Muoka told Daily Champion shortly after the event that God arranged the programme to bring the need of the people of this country to fulfilment, adding that the event had ushered in a period of laughter to the participants.
Muoka, however, warned that the time had come for the leaders and the led to accept Christ as their Lord and personal saviour.
"My advice to this country especially to the leaders of our nation and people is that they should embrace Jesus Christ and that they should go on and live a righteous life because righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any nation.
"If the whole nation should turn to God, Nigeria should be the best place in the world because we have everything to be the best among nations. We have the resources but because of the lack of knowledge of God in spirit and indeed, things seemed not to be normal with the nation," he said.
The cleric said that country's leadership should complement God's goodness to Nigeria with the fear of God and willingness to live a righteous life.
"We are the richest country in Africa and beyond; but we need leaders to complement those things that God has given to us, leaders with the fear of God who are ready to embrace Christ and live righteous life. As they go on to do that, I am assuring you that we will have a better nation.
"I want Nigerians to return to God and begin to fear God by living righteously, this nation will never be in lack, instead God will bless this nation and make it a place where people can come and be willing to invest," he said.
According to the pastor, the benefit of the crusade to the country was so numerous, which he said, included salvation from all areas of needs, beginning with the salvation of souls of the participants in the programme.
"They also stand to gain Holy Ghost baptism and sanctification and all the gifts of the Holy Spirit, besides, they stand to gain financial upliftment in times of crisis," he said.
Muoka said that God has decided to move the whole world to Himself before the rapture, noting that God is on course in his ministry.
He reiterated the ministry's determination to reach the world with the gospel of salvation, stating that his ministry as a global one would effect even Nigerian from head to toe including the president and governors.
The crusade which attracted thousands of worshippers ended last Sunday in Lagos.
