Zimbabwe: Sulumani's Tour Begins

30 October 2008

Harare — SULUMANI Chimbetu's much-hyped countrywide tour begins tomorrow in Mutare.

The musician, whose Manicaland gig opens with a performance at Beit Hall, will also use the outing to give back to the society that made him into the star that he is today.

A raffle draw would be conducted during the show where fans stand a chance to walk away with a Multi-Choice satellite dish and decoder.

Audio-Tronix Technologies and Entertainment sourced the donation through their director Shepherd Sirewu.

Dino Mudondo and Freddy "Kapfupi" Manjalima will support Sulumani.

After the Mutare affair, the youthful artiste heads to Rusape where he is due to crank a pungwe at Vhengere Stadium on Saturday night before staging a family show on Sunday at Rudhaka Stadium in Marondera.

After this affair, the trio will proceed to Kariba before exploring other provinces.

"Sulumani is a professional who has showed us a lot of maturity and we hope to complement him for his efforts in reviving Dendera music.

"As for Kapfupi and Dino, they are equally good and we hope they will certainly realise their potential after they decided to be their own men in this cut-throat profession.

"My desire is to see them excel because they have what it takes to achieve their goals," said Sirewu.
