Nigeria: Amodu/Siasia Combo Could Work

30 October 2008

Former Super Eagles defender, Okechukwu Uche says he believes the combination of Shuaibu Amodu and Samson Siasia could work with the Eagles.

He however added that only the Nigeria Football Federation are the ones to make that decision if they think it is necessary.

"I played in the Eagles with Siasia between 1991 and 1998 and I played under Amodu too when he coached the Eagles but I have not experienced Siasia personally as a coach.

"It has been a long time I interacted personally with them so the NFF are in a better position to know but Siasia has been very successful since he started coaching with the national teams so you must give it to him.

"Shuaibu has been with the Eagles before and he has experience just like Siasia has experience and I think both of them are very good coaches."

Uche told KickOffNigeria.com that Nigeria must do anything to excel in 2010.

"We are talking of 2010 here and two very good coaches so we must do anything possible to put up a very good result but it is the NFF that will decide so these are just my thoughts.

"If you ask me I will suggest that they work together but I am not the one to decide these things." Uche told KickOffNigeria.com.
