Luanda — The Planning deputy minister, Carlos Alberto Lopes, reaffirmed on Wednesday, in Luanda, the engagement of the Planning Ministry, as an organ of the government's economic team, in the conception and implementation of public policies capable of guaranteeing macro-economic stability and consolidation in 2009.
In an interview to ANGOP, after the presentation ceremony of the two deputy ministers for the Planning Ministry, re-appointed for the post following last September's legislative elections, Carlos Alberto Lopes said that this governmental department intends to formulate and execute public policies capable of achieving the results defined by the government for the year 2009.
The deputy minister, in charge of public investment and territorial development, added that the actions of the government, through the Planning Ministry, will be based on efforts to attain food security, rehabilitation of infrastructures, improvement of working conditions in sectors like education and health.
He also said that to achieve these goals, efficient public policies should be adopted to carryout the work of the government, although this is the continuation of a work that been considered as priority.
