Monrovia — President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf will on Friday morning address a number of domestic issues when she appears on a live radio interactive program, 'Conversation with the President.'
During the program, which begins at 10:00 a.m., the Liberian leader is expected to discuss the global economic crisis and its consequences for the local economy, as well as measures being taken by Government to address the crisis.
An Executive Mansion release says the Liberian leader is also expected to highlight progress on infrastructure development, particularly road rehabilitation, as well as the country's energy sector in the framework of the 'Lift Liberia' (PRS) initiative. Recent audits conducted by the General Auditing Commission (GAC) and actions taken by the President following the audits will also feature prominently during the one-hour radio program.
Friday's edition will mark the end in a series of radio programs featuring the President as another series featuring Government ministers and heads of public corporations and other autonomous agencies is set to begin next month.
'Conversation with the President' was initiated by President Johnson Sirleaf more than two years ago as an interactive phone-in radio program through which citizens across the country have engaged the President on a number of national issues of interest.
