Kampala — LAST Friday night, gospel music lovers thronged Nakivubo Stadium. You would be forgiven for thinking freebies were being given out. By 11:00pm, people were still struggling to enter the stadium.
Revellers were treated to inspirational music from local gospel artistes and Euzoa Gospel Band from the USA. But it was Pastor Wilson Bugembe, the event organiser, who attracted most cheers from the audience with his poetic, yet poignant songs.
He began with his latest, a duet with Jodah, the Euzoa Gospel Band lead vocalist. Komawo Eka and Mukama Njagala Kumanya had everybody singing along.
Judith Babirye had a good time on the stage with her latest hit songs, NzUukira, Newaayo and Yesu Mulamu. The Watoto Children's Choir from Kampala Pentecostal Church and Light the World Mass Choir also wowed the crowd.
